Listing your horse with HJD not only gives you access to
thousands of buyers across the country but also gives thousands of buyers access
to your horse. Not only do we advertise your horse on our website but we
also advertise in various horse magazines and papers in circulation such as: The
Horseman's Yankee Pedlar, Practical Horseman, Equus, The Chronicle of the Horse,
Stead Read, Horse Sport and Dressage Today. Since HJD in based in
Fairfield County, CT and I myself am a horse person, word of mouth advertising
is also in effect.
If you decide to list your horse with HJD Horses, and the
horse is sold via HJD's advertising, contacts or website we will charge a 15% commission
of the selling price at the time of sale. If you sell your horse on your
own through marketing outside of HJD's advertising, contacts or website you will
not be charged 1 cent, and HJD will not take a commission. This is so you,
as a seller, do not feel trapped by a contract.
To list your horse with HJD all you will need is a quality
picture of the horse for sale, a video showing the horses' confirmation and the
horse working and a complete description of the horse. In your description
please include the horses registry, the lineage, (if known), show records, guarantee's
of health and all other physical details. You may email me the pictures of
your horse or send them to the address below. All hard copy photos will be
returned.
Since most of our clients request to view more than one horse
at a time, please limit your video to between 10-15 minutes. Please show
you horse at a walk, trot and canter. If your horse jumps be sure t
include footage of that as well as the horses changes. Show tapes are
welcomed and preferred! Please be conscious of the sound while
taping. You wouldn't want every one to hear about the embarrassing moment
you had last night. And most importantly have fun with it! If you do
not have a video which shows everything you wish but you would like to advertise
ASAP, send us the one you do have and then update it later. Or if you
